Club Yardage...

Morning all,

Just looking to get an idea of yardages for each iron and drivers you normally hit. I am noticing lately down the range that taking a much smoother swing is certainly getting a more consistant distance and accuracy. As I am fairly new it would be interesting to know what everyone hits there 7i for example.

7i 140 - but normally at least 5-10 of those are also 'to the right'

Driver about 245. Once hit a 430yd-er but 3-wood (normally 200) in other direction only went 115. Driver woud probably have ended up behind me!

About the same as Oddsocks maybe 5yrds less. But then a good one goes farther. So about the same.

I've measured 9 iron and shorter on the course, and 6 iron, hybrid, 4 wood and driver at a fitting. They are to the nearest easy number to remember, might be 1 or 2 yards off either way but I'm not consistent enough to worry about it yet.
The rest I've never properly measured, but they are what I work on and seem to work out ok.

Driver - dunno as I've not used it in "normal" summer conditions

I'm 1 yard longer on all these but I dont balloon the ball 100 yards skywards!

Does it matter how far everybody else hits their 7i? All I need to know is how far I hit mine, I don't care about anybody else because it's not really relevant to my game.

The number of times somebody asks what club are you hitting ?.... They then change clubs based on what somebody else is hitting, even though they probably hit a different yardage with the same club! It's crazy..
