We all see the glossy ad's in the mags for the latest offering from the manufacturers claiming longer straighter more backspin etc. Has anyone genuinely bought a club after reading one of the ad's that has made a real difference to their game?

Mizuno 7wood -never carried a 3 iron again and a Nike sumo 5000 driver. Both second hand and significantly better than the expensive custom fits they replaced.

Bought an MD Norman Drew wedge based on reviews and not having anywhere to try it nearby and love it. Unlikely to change that for a while

Yep, bought a Vokey SW. The £40 price tag also helped.
Other than that, NO.

I actually bought the whole set. :D
I bought the wilsonstaff Di7's straight off the shelf after reading the reviews in Golf Monthly and i havent looked back since.....
Im now planning to either buy the wilsonstaff Ci7' at christmas or hold off for there new Ci9's in the new year.

Ping G10 Driver. Without a shadow of doubt.
My friends have all said they have never seen me drive longer, or more accurately than with that club.
Sold it to a mate of mine when I "upgraded" to the new G15 but realised I had made a mistake and have since snaffled it back and it will be sitting in my bag for the forseeable future.

Benny 3 wood. Actually it was the Benny driver that was reviewed - which I bought & liked and so got the 3 wood as well. Absolutely love it. Can spank it nicely off the tee, and more importantly, can hit it off the fairway too - which I had never done well before.

K1 speed. Great advert, fantastic club. Changed my game completely. Knocked 15 shots off my handicap to get me to plus 5. Wouldn't be without it.
