There's a discussion on this on another forum and Tom Wishon who is a clubmaker is providing some of the posts. This includes a wrist to floor chart (it seems different charts may be used) and the assertion that wrist to floor is really best used as a starting point.

As a qualified shorty (read 5 7") my wrist to floor is a bit more but you cant really go wrong for starters with Ping's fitting chart.
FWIW i play 1/4" short 2 degrees flat in my irons and wedges and cat my putter down to 32.5"

Every individual is exactly that, an individual, clubs need to be measured to your swing, obviously your height will have a bearing on your swing path & plane but it's not definitive, my advice, see your/a pro for a custom fit! I'm sure someone can give example on a shorty with lenghtened clubs and stretch with shortened clubs.

Well it seems you're putting down the trouble you're having with the follow through to the length of your clubs when it could be a swing fault? or set up issue.

By the way I am 5 foot and something and use regular/standard clubs.

I'm a giant at 5foot 7inches as well! My irons were custom fit 18months ago and I came it at bang on right for standard length shafts. That said every fit can be different and am having another done at end of the month with a view to changing weapons so be interesting see how that comes out. Maybe I should get around to telling HID about having it done, hmmm then again maybe not.

you are right doh probably both as i am
"self taught". I am 5 6 but my driver, especially, feels too long. measured driver shaft at 45 1/2. would you let me know if yours is similar?
