Hi guys,

There was a thread on here a while back where somebody had sent off one of their woods to be painted up and it came back looking rather nice. I scuffed a shot through the ground which I have never done before with my fairway wood tonight and so I was looking at getting it painted up.

Here are two photos;

Its the big graze along the crown I was looking to get fixed up, maybe even with a black gloss finish like the club already has.

I dare say with some careful sanding, masking and the priming, you could get it looking the same with final top coat of whatever colour, but I would doubt it would be as hard wearing as a baked on coat of laquer from a pro shop.

I saw the bling your swing thread, and I'm toying with the idea of getting my Titleist 913 driver resprayed red in the off season

I vote for leaving it there, battle scars are a good thing!

Unless it affects the performance of the club I say just clean it up, make it a little less glaring and leave it be.

Not long after getting my first driver it was covered with sky marks as I learnt how to use a big stick. I just cleaned them up, filled them in with some black permanent marker to stop them shining and left them. Hardly noticed them and the club still sold for £50 second hand near 3 years later (OK it had a £90 shaft in it :D )
