Club goes up but doesn't come back down

Today I played in some really tough windy and heavy rain condition taking a friend around my course for the 1st time. I have never had a golf club actually slip out of my hands while taking a shot but today I excelled myself on the 3rd tee with my 5 iron when my club sliped out of my hands went 20 yards up the fairway and landed 20ft up a tree !

It started of a really miserable round but I was laughing to myself the for the whole round I just wished I took a picture of it.

Any strange slips happened you before ?

A good golfing friend of mine once left his 3-wheel push trolley at the top of a hill on the Brabazon's 3rd... After a few No, No, Noooooo's echoed out there was a splash and a sinking cart and bag :clap:

Not a chance of getting out this morning. Blowing a gale and lashing down so even the range didn't appeal.

Get a wet weather glove (not all weather) The wetter hey get the better they grip.

I once lost my putter up a tree. By the time I walked off, there were two rakes up there too, and I had to wait for the green keeper to retrieve it all on the following Monday.

Driver, off our first tee, which has a row of conifers to the left, followed by a service road, more trees, 8 foot fence and then a building site. I managed to lose my driver on the follow through (it was absolutely tipping down and this was our back nine). The club cleared the lot and ended up in the building site........after my playing companions stopped rolling around laughing, I had to climb the fence to get the club back. Never found my ball, as we were all too busy watching my driver sail over the trees............
