Club face at address

Just interested- does anyone set up with a closed or open face at address?

Is this to combat a closing/opening of face at impact or in response to your consistent path?

Have always addressed with a fractionally open face. No-one has ever stressed when teaching me so I just keep doing it. It is pretty marginal

As I generally want my shots to go straight, I try to point the clubface straight down the target line, with the v's between my thumbs and index fingers pointing between my chin and my right shoulder. Before taking my address I look down my line from behind, pick a spot over which I want the ball to pass, and aim the clubface at that. If I want to hit a hook I close the clubface slightly, and open it slightly for a fade, keeping the grip the same.
