Have to say (not got much justification after finishing almost last in ours) that I would have thought by being too agressive in the morning you could play your way out of the tournament. I'd prefer to have a solid first round even a two or three over my handicap and then go for everything in the afternoon. You will know how the course is playing and which flags you can and can't attack

Don't try and defend a score in the second round, it will only put uncertainty in your mind and end up with you dropping shots all over the place, just play your normal game in the first round and if it has gone well keep doing what your doing and if not then try and be aggressive for your second 18 as you will most probably have some catching up to do and this will be the only way forward.

I wouldn't think too much about it- I usually do and it never works. I accept that it is easier said than done though to just turn up and hit the ball without thinking about the occasion or your score during the round etc- you need real mental strength to do that.

Give Tiger a ring, he'll help you out :D

Yes.....good call.....NOT.
When you shoot an 85 trying to be aggressive, you can give us all a good laugh.... :D

Go and play your normal game. Be conservative on the holes you often struggle to par and leave yourself with a shouting chance in the afternoon.

As the pro's say "you can't win a tournament on the first day, but you can certainly lose one".

Play your regular game, keep it tidy, don't lose your head and relax a bit. Anything else is kamikaze.....
