Just found out that I've made it into the club championship this year lowest 72 handicap golfers who enter get in. I'm the highest handicapper at 12.1. So first out in the morning of the 1st and 1st out off the 10th in the afternoon.

Really happy to be in but realise a lot of the single figures haven't entered this year.

I also know I've not really got a chance to win it, but have two rounds on the day to get a handicap cut which I'm desperate to get at the moment :P

Keep buffering at the moment I know a good round is just around the corner :D

It might be a stretch to win it, but there's no reason why two good rounds won't see you well up the field. Good luck.

Playing the 36 hole scratch one myself tomorrow

Will obviously be nowhere near troubling the top of the table but 2 rounds to try and get a cut is the way I'm looking at it.

Either that or accelerate my reversion to 7!!

Good luck to all those playing in their champs this weekend. As for the OP I'd never feel embarrased or worried about being the highest handicapper in the field. You are there by right. Go out, enjoy and I reckon you could surprise a few people and yourself
