Club Championship in doubt?

We had the same forecast for ours and started at 8.30am and finally finished at 7.30pm after storm delay and clearing water off flooded greens. Hope the forecast is as inaccurate as usual for you!
 
Day 1 of ours today and the weather was fine. Despite forecasts of storms it was quiet.
 
Our club championship is , well , a bit odd.

It's basically 2 medal rounds (round 1 over this weekend and round 2 next weekend) added together and the results published on the board on the following Tuesday.

Trying to get focused on it but it just doesn't feel like a club champs. Have a chance if I play well, but not knowing how your fairing in rd 2 seems bizarre for the clubs main event.

Teeing off 12:04 tomorrow, be a slow one , as I bet everyone moved tee times today.

Am I missing something? Seems quite normal to me, that's how my club does it. Could it be that you mean that the results of the first round are not published before the second round is played. If that's the case, what happens if you play another QR between the two rounds?
 
The draw for our club championships next weekend has been made. The first round is normally done in handicap order with the lowest going out first. This year for some bizarre reason which the club have yet to explain, only the 7 handicappers and below go out first in order. Everyone else has be randomly drawn. Which means I, as the next lowest handicapper in the field tee off in the middle of the field an hour and 20 minutes behind the 7 handicappers. Happy I am not. Questions have been asked but I doubt I will get an answer.

Results of Round 1 are published Tuesday and then final results are published the following Tuesday. You play both rounds whenever over the allotted weekends. It also begs the question if I'm allowed to play the course between the 2 rounds or not.

I'm going to have a good go at it, but it would have been nice to play the final round in gross score order. Adds a bit of pressure to it.

Wish theyd do that with ours, then I wouldnt have to tee it up so ludicrously early on day 1 lol. Not sure why we go out in handicap order (apart from tradtion), just dont see why it isnt drawn tees like any other medal comp personally

Count yourself lucky. I'm in the third from last group. Taking a picnic as it will be painful

I'd have no issue with it being drawn if it was drawn for everyone but don't see why 7 handicappers should get the benefit of playing early and getting round quicker while I have to put up with waiting around on every hole (and given past experience of our CC, it will be slow)

Yep agree, should either be in order or drawn, not a combi version of the 2 with an arbitrary line in the middle
