Cloud storage

I use onedrive

apart from the odd sync problem on my tablet had no problems, makes accessing files nice and easy when out and about if needed

that said wouldnt put anything too important or secretive on there personally

I use a cloud service called Carbonite for online backups of my stuff, but also have a "local" backup in the form of an external hard drive,

The cloud is Ok to a point, if you are using one of the Big boys, Microsoft (One Drive), Google (Google Drive) or Apple ( Icloud) then you are unlikely to have the company go bust on you, but you may be more susceptible to a hacker (nice juicy target)

Ultimately you have no control over who has your data, what they do with it, how many times it is backed up in case of server failure, or what happens if the company fails.
But there is no denying that it is useful especially if you have a tablet or phone and suddenly want to show Auntie Mary last years Golf Photos.

It is still in its infancy as an industry, but it is going to get bigger, thats for sure

One drive is decent enough, good for auto backup of photos from my mobile.

I use one drive but mainly due to Xbox account being linked with it. My main choice would be google drive. I personally feel quiet safe with them but I wouldn't add anything to the cloud that I wouldn't be happy to leave on view in a physical form.

OneDrive is good, if you go for the package that includes Office365 I think it's great value for money and it works across numerous platforms and devices.

I use a combination of my home seagate personal cloud, iCloud and google to back up data in multiple locations.

Best thing is it's all automatic, i don't do a thing!
