How does everyone deal with that scenario when a hole or two is closed? Here at Hawarden we have 2 holes which struggle with the wet weather, especially the par 3 from the elevated tee, ball sticks on the green, well it actually sinks 50% into the ground.
Today both holes were closed, so to get in a full 18 what I tend to do is find 2 similar holes on the course, similar in SI and par, then play 2 balls. Obviously if it's busy or I'm with a partner I don't, but on my own and to maintain my average etc, I do that. Anything wrong with it? Is there a better more accepted method?
