Messing about at the range tonight was chatting with our assistant pro about the cleveland drivers as there is a fitting cart. He said have a go and see, so I did.
Tried the fubuki shaft first. Was flat feeling, very boardy to me. So he goes hang on, pops back after a minute or two and hands me the driver, did look. But i can tel he's cganged the shaft as it is now black and the fubuki was white. So i give it a swing and wow, felt great. After a few swings, few wedges in between hit again and same result. Lovely flight nice soft draw, no effort. Check the shaft and its a matrix ozik black tie shaft stiff. Never tried it before but it was very good.
Hoping to try it sat on course.

If the driver from Grieg doesn't work then this is what I'm getting, would definitely recommend trying them.

That's the shaft (7M-something?) that Callaway decided was best for me when I tried their Razr Fit Xtreme driver, and Also like you have PX in my current one.

I have this shaft in my new cleveland custom xl driver and what a shaft it is. i tested out a few shafts in my fitting a few weeks back and nothing compared to this. best buy iv ever done

It's some piece of kit. R3 did you go for it?

No, it wasn't enough better than my own driver to justify (like golfers have to!!) buying a new club.

I was hoping to end up with a lightweight shaft but they span too much. The black tie was as heavy as my PX.

Still great perfomance for me and so effortless to swing at a good speed. Iv always had problems with shafts getting stuck behind me in the downswing and now I can tell were the club head is.

Thanks chaps. R3. That was my thought long term is that the improvement wouldn't be significant.
Gd. Glad it's going well. It did feel very nice to swing and was effortless. Bit of a conundrum.
