I know the classic XL Driver gets rave reviews, most of you probably signed up already, but for those whom are not, Sports HQ are doing:

XL Driver 79
XL Fairway 65
Mashie FW 50
and CG15 and CG16 wedges for 35

not affiliated with them, just sharing what looks like a good price. no idea on stock of shafts lofts etc, knock your selves out!

I was just about to post on this. Good company to deal with and some cracking prices. They have some Launcher drivers at £49 as well,

Love Cleveland clubs

The XL Classic driver is s real weapon. As low spinning as an SLDR (in me experience) and equally as long (again in my case) if not longer.

Honestly if your in the market for some new sticks I cant recommend them enough.

Might be the last chance you'll ever get to buy one…

Now I am actually swinging better I am again seeing how good my XL driver is, just amazing!

Sadly I have an old Cobra S3 3 wood which is another phenomenal club, no way would I risk swapping as I doubt it is possible to get much better. I would love a XL 3 wood but I really have no need!

Cobra drivers however, I had double the spin with them over the XL so were a total NO-NO.

I had the original CLassic, which was an awesome club and have recently bought an XL custom (only because it was stupidly cheap and had a Black Tie shaft in it, which I was looking to put in my classic). I picked both of these up for less than £100 a piece and are without doubt the best value clubs I've ever bought. Absolutely brilliant drivers.

I haven't owned but have hit the 3 wood, and was less impressed.

Is the driver really that good?

After seeing this, I looked online and found that ebay also have the Classic XL on offer for £55.99 (you can see it here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cleveland...rand-New-/251566891667?_trksid=p2054897.l4275 )

For a while now Ive been thinking about a new driver. My current driver is around 2.5 years old, the Callaway RAZR Black 11.5 degrees of loft. It's also closed face to assist with draw, but nowadays I hardly hit it, because it balloons up in the air and I only get around 180-200 yards of carry and pretty much no roll. I get more from 4 wood and 18 degree hybrid.

It's a deceptive strike, for while it does go high (very high) it looks further than it is, and its really losing me distance now. I'm guessing that I've probably improved since I bought it and possibly something different will help.

I know Im waffling but for £55 im thinking its worth the risk to buy it off the shelf..... Any agree or seriously disagree? I'd love some advice..

Thanks

I bought a cleveland xl driver about 3 months ago on sale in AG. Seems like great value so far. Not noticed a huge difference in distance but I keep it in play far more often now. The deep face inspires confidence.
