Ok, as per the sig and as some of you know, I recently replaced 'package' fairway woods with these as they were on sale in American Golf at the time; swayed by the price, I hit them well on the range, relatively straight, and certainly farther than the hybrids I had been using.

However, since getting them onto the course I've been having awful issues with them, hooking 8/10 shots I play with them.. I hardly hooked any in practice, perhaps down to the face-tape that was on them.

Standing over, the clubface on both are they are definitely closed by default, and so I have to try to open the face and hold it open which doesn't really help, and I do try not to swing too much in-to-out with them. The only way I seem to be able to get them 'straight' is to try to slice with them, opening my stance and swinging out-to-in.

I'm at the point of thinking seriously about binning them and getting something that looks more neutral at address in the hope that helps.

I'm going to have a word with my pro, in case there's something in my swing that's amplifying the draw bias of the clubs and turning them into hook-machines; but also wanted any other ideas and thoughts on this issue that may help.

i had both 5 and 3 woods in the bag for two rounds. best looking woods ive seen. the big closed faces on them means they are absolute hook machines in my hands. why o why did they not make these adjustable!!

bin them pal. not worth the hassel. pity.

Really disappointed to hear this. Recently bought the classic XL driver and love it so much I was going to add the fairways

Glad it isn't just me who has had issues with hooking them.

Payday on Friday, so will likely see about replacing them and trading these in.. tried to use the 3-wood twice today; hooked into boondai twice, two lost balls. :(
