Really like the look of this bad boy.

Have not hit one yet, but from reading the reviews (low spin, Good dispersion, excellent standard shaft and a DEEP face) i think it could potentially be on my shopping list.

Anyone had a bash or own it?

PNWokingham actually had his quite under control a few weeks ago!

I'm not sold on the cosmetics, but the shape looks fine - slightly deper faces than the SL290 that is my 'spare'.

theres a review on here about it. as i have the driver cant fault it have owned the callaway xhot various other callaways and taylormades but for me this driver is better. apparently the black tie shaft is supposed to be hard to get off the ground especially with the 9deg loft but this is not the case at all. good medium flight and a reasonable roll out . love the look as well. only slight moan is if you have the club set at square for my eye this seems abit closed so i play it 1.5 deg open just to suit my eye.a real underrated club and i got mine new from the bay for £130

Thanks pal

That is a heck of a price you paid!

I see that you are off single figures. In your opinion would this club be suitable for a higher H/C player?

I've got one, its a superb driver. I was lucky enough to get the matrix black tie and the JDL shaft. Best bet is to get fitted for it. I got fitted by cleveland on a demo day ( free fitting). Also if you want the different weights for the head there free. Have a look where the nearest demo day is to you. I think you should buy one!!

For me I find it easy to to hit so may well suit you. Ideally get fitted but I took a risk and for £130 note I couldn't go wrong. I will try to find the seller I got it from and let you know

I love the look of this driver as well

What I would say from what I have ready is that it would be good for you if you tend to miss the ball high or low on the face because of the depth, if your miss is toe/heel then you would probably be better off with a wider face, rather than deeper face

Quite a few golfers get very steep with their driver and often hit it close to the top of the face, this would give a little bit more help for that I think, so could be very well suited for certain high handicappers

I got fitted for this driver and it was the best £240 iv ever spent as their is a wide range of shaft options. Iv got the matrix black tie and head at 7.5 degrees and I love it even the miss hits out of the heel still hav a great flight also that shaft alone is about £200 so it's great value for money.

At the time I was using a Taylormade r11 and it just couldn't compete with the Cleveland.

I would love to know if anyone has compared this to the G25 or the D2, they all seem quite similar in looks and target market

Also heard about their shafts being great and the real deal

The shafts are the ones that would be used on tour, they are the real deal. Not like the fubuki stock shaft you'd get in a Nike or the stock matrix shaft in a Taylor made. Titleist have a up-charge of £170 for the fubuki shaft and £150 for the matrix, they also want £45 for a set of weights that are free off cleveland!! All that for £199.

Not quite sure how Cleveland do that!

Shafts are indeed real deal and while Miyazaki is a sister company the JDL is still a $300 shaft as is (independent) the Matrix Black Tie!

Cheap way to get a 6M3 if that suits your game.

I've no idea how they do it for that price, no brainer if your after a high speck driver for a good price. I was in the range earlier and it just goes like a bullet, even off centre hits go just as good. But that is probably because it has a huge face that gives you confidence to rip it!!
