Cleveland 588 shafts

Stock shaft seems to be the Traction 85 (well at the local AG anyway)

Can't find any info on them.

Anyone know anything ?

My pal 85 the 588 TT in stiff, they seem to fly low but I'm not sure if that's lofts or shafts, they didn't feel a lot different to my dynalite xps300

You may know already, but Cleveland have the carts in their 'account dealers' where they can interchange the heads of any of the clubs with the different shafts they have. You can try the different wedges heads on different shafts too.

My CG16's have Traction 85 Stiff shafts in them, a light weight shaft designed to help get the ball in the air. With the design of the CG16 and quite a large undercut cavity back with the weight low down, the ball will launch high. The CG16 being meant for the GI golfer in mind.

The Cleveland 588 clubs (Altitude. MT & TT) use the Actionlite shafts as their standard offering, these are very light shafts with the stiff shaft only being 62.4g and the regular 60.5g, the Traction85 as a custom option weighs in at 85g.

The Cleveland 588 Forged CB uses a Dynamic gold shaft with the regular (R300) weighing in at 127g and the stiff (S300)and X-Stiff (X100) weighing in at 130g each.

The Traction 85 is quite a lightweight shaft designed to help get the ball into the air.

The 588TT's have the same lofts as the CG16's, so it will be the head design that is keeping the ball with low to mid trajectory, as I wrote above the Traction 85 is lightweight and would help get the ball into the air.
