Clearout Part 1: Cleveland CG16 Irons 5-PW

It is time for a clearout, the clubs that I have lost confidence in are now up for sale and I hope they will serve someone else well.

First up are the Cleveland CG16 irons. Great clubs but I lost confidence in them. I am selling 5-PW with regular, steel Cleveland Traction 85 shafts and Cleveland grips with 2 layers of tape. No other adjustments of fittings have been made.









These retail at close to £300 but I am looking for offers around £200 delivered. These irons are forgiving without being overly large hearded and will make a great addition to anyone's bag.

I always regretted getting rid of my old Orka clubs and whilst tweeting with the MD the other week he asked if I wanted to come over and see their head fitter in Milton Keynes and see what he reckoned. Looking to go for them (Stuart at Orka reckons RS5s may suit) but until then I have my old Cobra SZ irons in the bag.

I saw a set of these "in the flesh" for the 1st time at Seaford GC last Wednesday and loved the look of them.
If I didn't love my S3's so much, I'd be tempted.
Great buy for somebody. Look the type of club you could muller the ball with.

They certainly go a distance when you strike them well and they the shorter irons stop on a sixpence. I so wanted to get on with them but with me, once the confidence has gone then that is it.
