I clean the heads and shafts of my clubs after every round but I don't clean the grips. What's the best way to clean them "properly"?

thanks in advance
Ade

Hot soapy water with a nail brush for the grips works a treat. I usually just use the same cloth to wipe the rest of the club and dry it thoroughly.

if you dont have a nail brush use an old piece of towelling, soak it and scrub away then dry off. The nail brush is better though.

Cleaning helps you see early when grips need changing as its easy to spot and feel smooth spots when you clean them

same as brendy, amazing how well they can come up. I didnt clean my grips untill about 6 months after use, they felt new again.

I use these bad boys for all of my clubs from the shaft to the grip, I first wash them in warm water and then once I have done that polish over with these to clean the grip and stop the shafts from rusting.

Grips: Rejuvenates old grips creating an excellent grip.

Shaft & Hossel: Keep rust at bay and shaft gleaming clean

Club Heads: Quickly removes dirt and grass from the club face reaching right into the groves

Golf ball: Removes dirt and grass stains with ease

They are £2.99 on Yes! website or they sell boxes of 12 pks on EBay for about £8.99 which I got, they are also handy on the course to clean club faces where a towel just doesnt do it.

Brendy(and all)...just back from the range, read your comments and thought I'd better try this,as I have'nt done this before.
The water was filthy by the time I'd finished and the good thing was the grips felt great and really tacky!!!
Thanks for the tips guys(and if I don't post later then I really hope that you all have a great 2009!!!)

Some grip types like those used in Yes putters soak up soap & water & can become slimmy. Though in generalits been covered.

personally I prefer to leave grips au-natral, until really needing a clean. A bit of water & a rub with a towel is sufficient imo.
