Classic TV adverts - I miss....

Got all nostalgic looking at 1970’s/80’s UK TV adverts for half an hour on youtube this morning. Lots of ads for crisps, sweets and biscuits. Not a sign of anyone making a claim for being mis-sold anything or telling you to have a bet (although I’m sure I remember a littlewoods pools advert) and no sign of any small print on the ads as some kind of disclaimer

Many brand names no longer around and all a far cry from the world we live in now

Cant believe Renault actually had an ad where they said “Look, I’m not going to pretend it’ll never breakdown, all cars do from time to time… but its quick to fix…!”

Any favourites that bring back fond memories?

The Nike advert for the 1998 World Cup in the airport was a classic featuring the original Ronaldo and many other members of that Brazil team along with Eric Cantona.

Harp had a serious of classic adverts - time for a cool sharp Harp.

The one playing on the Gold Blend series of adverts was a classic.

I loved the Lucozade Sport advert with John Barnes back in the day being one of my chidhood heroes.

The Gold Blend series of adverts with Sharon Maughan and Anthony Head were inspired.

Just watched the Birds Eye beef burger ads from the 70's

"Made with 80% beef" don't you know. See back in them days they didn't even hide the fact there was horse in them

There was a recent remake of that advert, starring the original kid (now fully grown). It was for milk vodka. But it was banned!
