Christmas round of golf

Hi all,

Looking to get out for a round on the 28th, but with my course being down to 14 holes because of rennovation and water logging we need some advice on where to go. Ideally somewhere that takes water well with the weather we have been having. Looking for nothing more than an hour from Huddersfield/Leeds.

Please help! I need to play golf it has been 6 week.

Can you get to the coast in an hour?

St. Anne's Old Links will be in good nick, plus any other links courses I'd guess.

Probably just over an hour, but also £50 a round. Thanks for the suggestion.

St Annes isn't the cheapest, but consider that the course is fully open, no winter greens, no teeing mats, no special rules other than clean and place, and suddenly it doesn't seem so pricey!
