Christmas / New Year Sales - Opinions?

I normally keep a few spondulys back for the Xmas sales and have to say that this year - considering we are in recession - has been absolute pants!

I have bought a couple of things from Direct Golf's 20% sale (Penta's, JPX Glove and Stuburt shoes) but otherwise not a lot else, perhaps I have everthing I need now! Sorry, different thread!

Anybody else had any bargains?
 
the pro i get lessons from is having a sale and i was after new irons and he is doing the Nike VR pro combo irons for £225, where the cheapest online is £269 so id say im getting a great bargin. Sadly ive not got the money till Feb for them, luckily he said he'd keep them for me at the same price till i can pay for them!!

But other than that id agree and say that there are not many good deals out there.
 
Picked up some a great under armour lambert top for £32, and some £11 ping base layers from American golf, even a stromberg polo and trousers :)
 
My wife bought me a set of Taylormade Forged CB's for Xmas for £299 in a one off pro-shop sale on Jamgolf.

I also picked up a new Callaway Diablo Edge Tour Driver + the matching 3 and 5 fairways for a total of £190 from onlinegolf which has to be one of the best bargains ever, (hopefully they'll arrive for the weekend).
 
got a GG Tshirt, Jumper and Insula top for £120 quid, so quite happy with them bargains from Clubhousegolfdirect. I really rate the site, they seem to have some good specials on all the time (No I don't work there! :) )
 
Lyle and Scott sale ends tommorow. 50% off sale items. Polos and t-shirts. Just bagged 2 x polo's for £31.50 delivered. Bloody bargain.

I've seen some good bargains but I don't need any new clubs.....(apart from an I20 driver with a project x shaft)

Some good bargains on clothes at online golf, sub 70 and Scottsdale. Got me some trousers and a sweater from our pro-shop.

Got my Mizuno Aerolite WP Stand bag for less that £98.

Considering it's selling in AG for £169.99, I think I did rather well :thup:
 
Bought a JPX 800 3 wood from Direct Golf for £79.00 so was very happy with that. Also bought the JPX800 3 hybrid in the pre Xmas sales for £69.00 after a bit of negotiation. Happy with both those purchases.
