I've just accepted a job in Luton after 14 years living in France. The first thing to do is to find a golf club for me, and my two daughters (8 and 11). I'm looking at living in either Harpenden or Flitwick to get the train to Luton. Does anyone have recommendations for clubs? After seven years on a clay-based course I'm looking for a course that is dry all year round, and one that has a good junior programme and is child friendly. A floodlit driving range would also be good for winter evenings after work.

Thanks for any help.

I'd look at redbourn golf club

I've played it many times before, it has a par 3 course, full 18, a chipping/bunker area and a driving range (Not sure if it is floodlit though)

I think you will be able to play for free at a few other clubs that belong to the company (BGL Golf) and I'm 90% sure that you could play golf at their sister course Aldwickbury Park golf club for free too.

These both should fit into your budget too.
hope it helps

Redbourne definitely fits your requirements especially if a floodlit driving range is high up on your list. It also has a very good Junior programme.

Redbourne definitely a decent option. Dunstable Downs another that probably fits the bill (at least course wise) I would think.

You're more than welcome for a game at Aylesbury Vale when you're over, but its on clay (as are the majority in your search area really)
