Chistmas & New Year Rounds

Got a freebie fourball at Temple Golf Club on the 30th as a result of charity auction. Also trying to sort a game out at the Oxfordshire which a mate also got in a charity auction for the 29th

Used to play a match against my mate every Christmas Eve. We were out in all kinds of weather over the years. Great excuse not to go last minute shopping. Alas, now we're grow up and have families etc we don't get the chance to do that any more. Ah, those were the days!

Might try and stay sober enough to play in our clubs 2 club and putter comp on Ne'rday. 12 holes to sober up before the Ne'rday steak pie ! Wonderful !

Boxing day is a day of sport for our family. We drove to four different courses last year and the only one that was open was a cruddy muni.

I am working all over xmas except New years day. I wonder if I can get a game in that day, providing I am in a fit state. Anyone wanna play? :D

Our club has a christmas comp every year so i'll be doing that and the customery christmas eve shopping dash. :)

The Club Pro called me today and said "would you like to join me and some friends for a round on xmas eve ?", "Love to" I replied.

"Cool" he continued "One of them is also a pro and the other is off +1"

Yikes

No pressure there then !!

I'm off work over christmas so I will finaly get to use the GreenFree voucher I got in GM a few months back (its a Mon-Fri T&C).

Thinking about playing "The Bedfordshire" or Collingtree Northampton.

Any feedback on the courses would be greatly appreciated?

Will be playing Ganton on the 19th.(Pilgrimage)

Then the Christmas Eve fiddel.

To round it off will be playing Boxing Day Texas scramble.
