I have been borrowing a set of clubs and i found this in the bag, before i took my shot with it, one of my playing partners implied i should not be using it, as it was "frowned upon". I know it is a legal club to use, and i am big and ugly enough to make my own decisions, but I would appreciate peoples views! Just to give you an idea where i am, half a dozen lessons, approx 2 hours on the range and two twilight nines on a local course!...The journey has just begun!!!!

The general concensus on here is that chippers are for those who have given up improving their short game. They should be stored in a dark locked cupboard with ball retrievers

There it is. In a nut and some innards.

Learn to chip with something else, no point relying on a crutch before you've even started to run.
