I enjoy a chinese meal every now and again and go to the Ocean City here in Bournemouth , I like the Beef Ho Fun and they also do Dim Sum fresh from Lunch time , my normal take out is Roast Pork fried Rice , anyone else have the odd chinese and what do you like

I used to love a good Chinese, but to many takeaways use MSG in there cooking. Over time it builds up in my system and I end up with the most stinking headache ever, close to migraine in painfulness.

So these days I stick to Indians, vey occasionally if it's been a lng while since I head a Chinese, I'll go to Chop Suey Delicious for their hot and spicy chicken.

I had spare ribs with bbq sauce carryout on my way home last night after a long day out with a few old mates. I asked jokingly at the counter if they delivered and they said yes .
So i asked any chance of delivering me along with it, they said ok so i got a ride home which is about 4 miles , for a £1 delivery charge.

Was reading about this the other day really not good, love a nice crispy chilli beef with plain chow mein but would rather not have the MSG

We are only 20 mins on a train from London so often go to china town and make a night of it, but Saturday in a moment of randomness we shot to Leicester square for a wok n walk takeout...... So much taste bud tingles it's scary.. Well worth the £6.00 parking.

I see the MSG thing , some place state that they dont use it or you can request they dont, re the cooking your own , I have my own Asian little store and i buy in everything and try most of the stuff and yes cook your own is the way to go

Tried the restaurant at Wing Yip on the London Rd near your place? That Wing Yip is the best Asian Supermarket I know of! Fresh Thai Basils and Kaffir Lime Leaves! And you could build your own Pig down 1 aisle!

Friday was often Standard order of Sechuan Prawns, Sping Rolls, Drunken Fish and SF Rice from Lux in VW! No MSG used.

Cook it yourself.

1) Tonight was strips of steak marinated with garlic, chilli, ginger, soy sauce and Chinese five spice. Pan fry some onions and mushrooms. Add the beef and cook until just about done.

2) Boil some rice. Microwave some scrambled egg - then chuck it in a frying pan and one the rice is drained add the rice (and some peppers/peas/mixed veg depending on taste).

3) Bit of Pak Choi in a saucepan with some garlic and oil

and Robert's your mother's brother you've got a home cooked Chinese meal. 1, 2 and 3 timed to all be ready at the same time.

Our local are MSG free :) Crispy chicken with chilli and garlic followed by Mongolian lamb and some egg fried rice :)

I prefer traditional Chinese cuisine. Sweet and sour pork batter balls in sauce, with half and half (rice and chips).
