After a bit of help if I can get it, my 2 kids both play and my daughter is quite good so have put the request in at my club for her to become a junior member, at the moment she is using a Slazenger golf set but they seem a bit heavy so had a look on the bay but there are so many different types s/h for sale and don't want to buy a set that are just adult heads with shorter shafts as so many are, I have heard that the US kids range are good because they do use smaller heads for the smaller player any advice would be grand Thanks. btw she is 8

US kids are good. At 8 she's kind of on the top of one age group, so grow out of them quick, ranges oft times go 5 thru 8, 9 thru 12, then 13 thru 16.
Ping, Nike, do good juniors too but at the top end price wise. If she's a fashionable golfer Callaway again do some color ways she might like. You'd be probably best looking at the 9-12 range as unless she's very small for her age the size to fit her now she'll soon grow out of better looking at 9 - 12, non of the above are super heavy.

My little nephew has a Ping set. I was lucky to win it on Twitter a couple of years ago. You really can see the quality and it is just like a smaller version of an adult set. He loves them and his pro raves about them. Not sure I could justify the cost if them as they will only last a couple of years depending on growth but because of that I would assume that there is a strong 2nd hand market

Masters do some decent cheaper gear.

Saw some golfin kit recently a new Scottish set up and they were excellent by retailing at £20 each I think.

Direct golf do john letters stuff for sensible money

Also think there's a Cleveland set you can buy that's somewhere between the low end stuff and the nike/callaway/ping moxie stuff
