Probably an old joke by now but a much more apt name me thinks and really made me laugh.
Ive read all the Tiger threads and there is no doubt that his reputation has been damaged beyond repair.
Does anyone think all this is going to affect his performance on the course when he returns, with all this really bad publicity surrounding him?

Do people honestly think that it will have an effect on what the fans at the events think of him??

Not a chance, they will still herd around following him like the pied piper that he is.

I have no doubt he will come back bigger and as good as he left us.

I'm not so sure that he'll bounce back well after this.
I mean, there are scandles, and then there are SCANDLES, and this is quite meteoric in terms of tarnishing a 'supposed' great.

I dont think he was particulary liked on Tour, respected perhaps, but not liked, and after this, his friends are going to be a lot fewer.

Wouldnt surprise me if we didnt see him AT ALL in 2010, and personally, I couldnt give a monkeys.

To be honest i'm sick to death hearing about what woods has been doing and all these tarts coming out the woodwork, he's not exactly killed anybody.

He's the best golfer in the world by a mile, got everything he wants cars, boats, mansion etc so what he's been bedding all kinds?

I hope he's back on tour sooner rather than later because he's the greatest golfer and golf needs him.

i am afraid the surliness and the spitting we saw in 2009 turned many people off him.....a great golfer yes, but not yet a Legend.....

I have to agree with mark here.......
In my eyes a legend is remembered for everything good that they do.......
Tiger im afraid while yes he's a good golfer, No matter what he has won ,or what he might be about to win i think this year will always be remembered for what it was.
It only takes one speck of dirt to tarnish a white sheet.....

He'll be labelled a legend for his achievements on the course and rightly so. He took the game to new heights since he turned pro and raised the bar for everyone else in terms of ability and fitness. TBH I'm not too fussed what happens off course (although of course read it in the papaers like the majority of others) and the story will eventually die down after Christmas when his wife moves back to Sweden and files for divorce. Once he's back on tour it'll be business as usual

Least John Daly got hammered and got kicked off the tour in style, whereas Tiger has to check into a sex addict clinic and beg for forgiveness from his wife.

Daly>>>>Tiger ;)

Why?

I understand why other golf tour pros need him - the prize money has probably increased through his presence, but can anyone explain why "golf" need this overpaid, truculent, spitting prima donna who in no way sets a good example.

TBH, I wouldn't be overly surprised if he didn't bother to come back and I for one wouldn't miss him.

"golf needs him"

Rubbish.

Spot on but the US TV networks certainly do.

And as a result of that so do those who play over there,he has increased the amount of prize money available due to the numbers he draws in.

Ok I'm not suggesting they'll starve but they'll all "feel the pinch" in terms of prize money and advertising revenue if he quits for good.

Golf needs him because he is the greatest he is the most exciting golfer to watch he is the best shot maker ever and quite frankly every single proffessional athlete is a prima donna at some stage.

I'll tell you why golf needs him.....he has been responsible for a huge amount of youngsters taking up the game worldwide and lets face it we need these young players....not like your clubs age average is getting any younger is it??!!

Tiger gives more back financially to the grass roots of golf annually than any player in history of our sport and the sooner he is back the better. Yes, he has won more money but he has also sold golf to the world by his achievements when people were asking who is going to be the next golfing hero.
Was Muhammed Ali a saint in real life? No, he was not. Yet he is still recognised as the greatest sportsmen ever in almost every poll. He, like many "sporting heroes" from yesteryear, was lucky we didn't have 24 hour TV and press hiding behind bushes when he had "some personal problems."
Tiger has been stupid, has been caught and has hurt the people who matter most to him. He will, I am sure, be very, very sorry and will now realise how stupid he has been.
He is an easy target for cheap shots but all will be forgotten shortly. Hopefully, the same people putting all the effort into writing the negative stories at the moment (and they are entitled to do that) will also write some positives about the millions he raises for the under-privileged children and junior golfers out there when it blows over.
Question: Why is (caddie) Steve Williams even being mentioned? He works for Tiger and is great at his job, end of story.

Anyone who thinks golf doesn't need him is talking out their arse.

Daly imo is a legend just for that ..

Whe it comes to Legends the only thing he will forever be know nfor is the scandal for banging many he could before he got caught ..

But he shall never reach the greatness of the golden bear or the other Immortal legends ..

And I can safely say Mr woods will never beat the golden bears record .. and funny how the mass of Pro golfers have kept quiet over this ..

Secretly slagging him to death .. .

I think if he ever enterd the world of politics he could have become president.....

But still that man has no one else to blame but himself why on earth destroy what you have earned simply because of his addiction of sex ..

His wife is stunning more than words can say .. only an ignorant person would be foolish enough to betray her .. and after all it was Jesper that introduced them and he being the only Golfer to speak out IMO he knows the lady better than anyone ,,

She didn't marry him because he was Minted she married him for who he was .. in the end he broke her heart ..

How can any person that appreciates Any sport show respect to a man that broke his wifes heart and 2 kids in the process his kids in the future will bear the brunt of many jokes ...
