If you have had a good round, and are at home later and have consumed a decent dinner, and there's at least a full glass of red left in the bottle, which is the best bit of cheese to have with it?

My top 3 are Stilton, Jarlsberg and Comte.

But Comte these days is my winner.

Throw in a nice barley wine, some quality breads, olives, balsamic, chilli oils, sundried tomatoes etc and you’ve got yourself a party.

Mature Cheddar, Roquefort, Camembert, Comte, Goats Cheese, Brie. Grapes, apple, walnuts, oat cakes and a large glass of port.

Oven baked Camembert.

Mix up half a jar of apricot jam, as many chillies as you can handle and chopped pecan nuts. Cut the Camembert in half horizontally so you have two round pieces of cheese. Put the bottom half in an oven proof dish and put some of the jam mix on top of it. Put the other half of the Camembert on top. Put the rest of the mix over the top and bake in the oven for 25 minutes at 200C. Eat it as a dip with french bread, carrot sticks, celery etc.

Japanese Sage Derby , or Camembert as long as its not runny :)

Apparently the runnier the better according to those garlic breath cheese monkeys across La Manche!

Anything washed down with a bottle of vintage Blue Nun for me

There is an argument for drinking Riesling with blue cheese, as the acidity of the wine cuts through the fatty cheese better.

Blue Nun?!

I remember my old man used to order that, when we went out for a steak at the Berni Inn.
