This is what fascinates me about golf (okay, maybe infuriates me just a little bit perhaps!). Folks with the strangest, most odd looking, 'wrong' swing, that can play to a reasonable standard. Oh, and if I'm honest, beat me.

They work with what they have. And use it accordingly. So why are we concerned with having a perfect swing?

Yes, but as much as "it works" (to a degree) it will also not work.
Everyone has weak (read "rubbish") aspects to their swing, fixing these isn't necessarily the same as wanting a perfect swing.

One of my golf mates manages to play off 5 with one of the worst swings i've ever seen. He takes the club back so far inside it's practically at right angles to his left shoulder at the top. But he manages to square it up at the right time more times than not.

If you saw Jim Furyk at a driving range you'd never beleive he made a living as a pro golfer. I think we get far too technical about things for our own good. If it goes where you want it to, that's good enough for me

Odd looking yes, but he will score better (imuo) practising to make that swing consistent rather than having pro change his swing.

A lot of people would be best served by remembering that, me included.
Work with what you have rather than seek perfection.

My advice- always swing through the fart and carry on as normal- they'll never know....

The thing is CB used to be off about 10 or 8, then he started to swing like that. He never used to!

It is a pity they arrange sessions now on days when I am busy so I have not been in ages!
