Cheapest/best/value for money laser?

I use the Nikon Coolshot but had a bulky Bushnell before that, the Nikons smaller and the battery is nothing short of spectacular 50+ rounds still says full. Buy *****, buy twice!

 I have NEVER had a bit of bother with mine, had it since February and still on the original battery as well

I wasn't having a pop at the snooper as i have no experience of it, just saying I preferred the coolshot over the Bushnell which are both in the same bracket.

Your last sentence suggests otherwise.......

And I fail to see how the bushnell or nikon can be classed as no frills

I have a Hillman which I replaced last year under warranty. Think I actually caused the damage though using cheap batteries that leaked. 1 year on I've only recently replaced the battery.

However having seen and used the Snooper S500 Chris is talking about I'd find it hard to recommend anything else. Nice little unit and does the job perfectly.

Buy one of those and use the saved money to get a few drinks instead.

A hunting range finder will do that same job without the golf price tag.

Not convinced!

Hunting RFs have Distant Target priority; Golf Ones Nearest Target priority. That's what/all Bushnell's Pinseeker is about.

That Snooper device looks good value!

Go on ebay, search 'aite golf laser'. 90 delivered. And it's got pinseeker. Job done. Love mine.

I bought the snooper last week and have used it for 2 round so far. No issues with it at all, measuring is accurate and easy. Got three batteries with mine too and bag and clip to attach it to my golf bag.
I've found that my confidence with iron shots into greens has increased because I know how far the flag is and I know how far the club goes. This means I'm not wondering if I've got enough club or not. Previously, I've stood over some shots thinking "this is maybe not enough club, hit it hard" or "too much club swing it easy" with these thoughts the swing usually goes haywire! Knowing the distance and knowing I've got the right club means I can swing with confidence and concentrate on a good swing and ball strike. Tested the theory yesterday and I'm correct. Even tested taking an extra club that I needed and went past the hole. Glad I got mine.

Damn you for the good review. I've been tempted since this thread started. For a ton it seems a bargain. I'm sure I will pull the trigger soon.
