My current contract with my gas and electricity supplier is up shortly.
I'm with SSE Scottish Hydro October till Oct 13.

Any recommendations , customer service as well as price is important.

Thanks in advance.

We've never had a problem with BG for electric and EON for gas. Regularly check comparison sites but I'm not moving for the miniscule savings we'd get.

I'm with Eon and have been for many years. I get regular emails to inform of any better deals available and have been very happy with the service. I had a problem with my meter last year and they came out 2 days later to replace it, the I had a follow up courtesy call to check everything was in order, so top class.
My daughter was with Scottish power and it was a nightmare, she made herself ill with all the hassle with miss-billing and was forever on the phone to them. It certainly made me appreciate being with Eon.

Get on a price comparison site and spend a bit of time putting in the details and once you find out how much you could save, change and don't forget to put in monthly readings.

Most of the dealing can be done of a phone call or two. Time well spent. Think about the savings...you could join us at Dundonald on the 18th of October ;)

To be honest FAB I am thinking more about Dundonald than my leccy bill . I'll let you ken ASAP .
I did check 2 comparison sites, but found the top 4 recommendations had bad customer reviews, and were tied to the search page in some way.

So ATM Sainsbury's Energy is the favourite, but HID will decide as usual

But when i saw your reply I expected you to suggest burning Peat or perhaps Dave [ he is due to burn it up] .

I've been using Ovo for the last 4-5 years now, would recommend looking at them. Every year when the renewal comes round I put my usage into the comparison sites, and although Ovo aren't always top they are always close enough that it isn't worth moving suppliers.

I must admit that customer service is not something I pay much attention to for gas and leccy...whats the worst they can do...if they overcharge you you will get it back...you will still get supplied.

Unless some people have some horror stories out there. I must have used about 6 or 7 different suppliers over the last 15 years, I always check when my current deal is about to run out as to what is the best deal to move to.

It must be the ex-salesman in me.

I've also been with OVO for a few years now, I'm very happy with them and its a simple process of giving them our readings, it also has a good website with all our stats to follow and keep an eye on our usage.

Thank you for the information mothers
This really helped us

Make sure u go via quidco. I got £70 cash back last time I switched. Now been with Scottish power for about 5 years and no one comes close to their price.

But did they still supply gas and leccy and was it cheaper?

Not taking payments, not completing the transfer properly so customer paying twice, switching a neighbour's account without authority, not being able to access the account, the list goes on. Well worth a swerve looking at that, thanks williamalex1.
