Cheap Laptop

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a cheap, second hand or refurbed laptop for use at gigs etc.
Must have XP, I hate Vista!
There are a number of sites selling machines that match my needs, I was wondering if anyone has any sites they would recommend, before I take the plunge "blindly"

Steve, depending on where you buy your notebook online, you might have the option of downgrading. PCworld online have a few refurbed (300 or less)advent dual core notebooks with 2gb ram etc but have vista, you could always ask for a downgrade.

You could not have timed this better!

I have just bought a notebook from Asda. It has a 160gb hard drive and I have upgraded the memory from 512mb to 1.5gb for only £9.49 http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/2164/1431/-...amp;source=9593

I have now installed XP on it and its absolutely fantastic.
