Looking at booking a flight for 8 people to Dublin for a stag do.

have checked most of the comparison sites etc just wondered if anyone knew of any other hidden tricks or websites to get them on the cheap?

I don't know if it will be any cheaper but you could try entering a few different airports to depart from and see what that throws up. Might be easier to travel to a airport a bit further away and take the flight from there .

Also clear your browser of cookies/cache before you go back and look again. Some travel companies web sites stick coookies on your PC that track which flights you have been looking at. They then up the price and say there's only 1 or 2 left at that price when you look again, to panic you into buying them. They also do it with some package holidays. But when you clear your cookies the flight miraculously return to the price they were when you first looked.

flightchecker.moneysavingexpert.com is one I've used successfully for Dublin flights. Well worth getting flights cheap because the drink sure as hell isn't

Thanks all

Have tried sky scanner from all uk airports, seems like an hour and a half drive to London Luton seems cheapest overall when factoring in parking / petrol costs, thanks for the cookies tip as well HK, will give it a bash

Drink isn't the cheapest admittedly however we have been to Eastern Europe for the last few, which is brilliantly cheap however just fancied something different this time, that and I'm a sucker for Irish gals!

Off to Dublin myself for a stag do, I checked skyscanner ever day as the prices changed daily went up to £106 ended up booking them for £69 with Ryanair. Not sure if your sorted for hotels but we got a decent deal on the travel lodge.

It looks Iike that's about the going rate, accommodation sorted, we have booked out the entirety of this place http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/Oliver-St-John-Gogarty/Dublin/108

Did you consider ferries, I just checked , Holyhead to Dublin return for 8 adults without a car in April is only £509 total .

Not something I considered at all to be honest but Holyhead is about a 4 hour drive so not really doable, thanks for looking and pricing though

when checking prices on the net dont put 8 in try with 1 as if there are any cheaper seats available but not the full amount (in your case 8) i have found you end up paying the price available for all 8 and missing out on lower priced seats for a samller number.

Managed to get all 8 for £504 quid today so job done, thanks for your help all.

Now all I have to do is organise activities for us 8 and the remaining 17 people who are going, much fun!

Do not go to Temple Bar. Too expensive and not even very Irish as you'll spend it in the company of fellow stag dos and hipsters.

Ha ha, staying in the middle of it so don't have much choice! Personally I have already been and seen the nicer side so doesn't bother me too much, if it was my one and only trip there I may feel differently

Can't you just book a nice golf course for everyone, tee off in the first 4 ball and leave the carnage behind you?
