So I played last week with a friend at Glasgow Gailes, both of us are around the same handicap, only 1 shot difference.

On the second tee out comes a brand new TM R15 driver. To get to the point I witnessed a better display than the Red Arrows could have put on on route to my 7&5 victory. Tonight I have just had a text message informing me that today was even worse and on his way home he donated his driver to a local accord hospice shop.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

At least a great charity will benefit.

Seems a bit OTT but at least the charity will benefit. I hope they price it sensibly and get as much as they can. So often I've seen great stuff at silly prices (not just golf) because the shop workers don't recognise it's worth. A balancing act between pricing it too high and not getting it's full potential

Are you not embarrassed for your friend?

Seems like a ridiculous over reaction if indeed the tale is true.

He is not short of a bob or six. £200 and whatever will not be noticed and I actually applaud him giving it to charity.

Better than him chucking it in a lake or snapping it, hopefully the Charity may make a few extra quid from it.
