Just been reading about the Champions Dinner on The Masters website and some of the food by the reigning Masters champions over the years.

So you have done the unthinkable and shot a back 9 of 30 on Masters Sunday to pip Tiger and Rory by a shot to claim the Green Jacket. A year has gone by, you've returned to Augusta National and played your first practice round and you are now getting spruced up early Tuesday evening to host the Champions dinner. But what culinary delights have you arranged to be served up???

I am still working on my starter, but it would probably be something light as the main course is going to be a very satisfying Chicken, Ham Hock and Leek pie(!!), served with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Following that will be a glorious cheese board comprising the very best of British and Irish cheeses accompanied by homemade chutneys.

What would you choose?

A simple Tomato soup starter. And rhubarb crumble and cus for pud. At this moment in time it would be fish finger and heinz ketchup sandwiches for mains.

Do you think they'd allow me to draft in the waitresses from the well known American institution just about a mile up the road?

It'd have to be a Tuesday night Sunday roast for me!

Main - Very rare rib of roast beef, Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings
Pudding - Eton Mess

Drink? Hogs back TEA or Harveys Sussex Best or Timothy Taylors Landlord.

Starter: Heinz Tomato Soup. 3 Bread Rolls. 1 Spoon.
Main: Dominos Mighty Meaty / Vegetarian Supreme. No Cutlery or Plates - just pizza boxes.
Desert: Vanilla Ice Cream. 1 Spoon.

Simples. No Knives or Forks to wash up. Dead easy.

After winning the Masters I'd expect someone to be able to do the washing for me, wouldn't you?

Starter - tapas type things. Snacky food like cold cuts, terrine, pâté, crostini, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes. Etc. pick what you like and keep it light.
Main - Braai. Proper meat. Boerewors, steak, lamb chops, peri peri chicken. Loads of salad, potatoes and sauces. (Not a burger or small sausage in sight!)
Dessert - creme brûlée

Washed down with red wine, beer of your choice and a rum punch.
