Imagine that you are the 2012 Masters Champion, what would you put on the menu for next years Champions Dinner?

This year Charl Schwartzel chose a South African Braai, personally I think I'd go for something good and simple using ingredients local to me like Old Spot Sausages maybe a toad in the hole, with Gloucestershire Ales to drink and cheeses to follow.

Good question. I'm going to go for some local dishes, so I'd go for mince and clapshot (tatties and neeps mashed together) followed by Orkney Fudge Cheesecake, washed down with a selection of beers from the local brewery.

In fact I might even have that for tea tonight.

Proper fish and chips with mushy peas and White bread n'butter. Pints of Erdinger to wash it down. Followed by apple pie and warm custard. With a nice single malt to finish it off, maybe a Caol Ila.

My old Nan, who in her time was a cook at The Dorchester, would make a game pie which she would serve with perfectly cooked 'rustic' chips so that would be my main course... Afters would be Spotted Dick & Custard... London Pride would be my choice of ale... Forgot the starter... A Londoners style seafood platter... Cockles, mussels, winkles etc... Can remember the days of falling out of the pub and there'd be a van in the car park selling all those delights, luvverly!!!
