In the process of trying to sell my Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter.

Bought it last year without actually trying one out and to be honest I don't think it suits my putting stroke. Some good days with it but never feel totally comfortable

Having looked it to a replacement I see a few people suggesting a centre shafted putter if your stroke is more straight back and through rather than an arcing stroke.

Anyone went from a heel shaft to centre shaft and have you noticed an improvement?

I have been looking at the Odyssey Big T V Line CS putter and will give it a go this weekend

I've been playing centre shafted putters pretty much from the get go, once I figured out that I did not have much success with the normal putter my pro had lent me for my first lessons. I have a rather short, very straight putting stroke and it works pretty well with both centre shafted putters I have used so far. I started out with a mallet putter by Komperdell and have now changed to a very old bladed Slotline Inertia putter which I got off ebay.

I use a plethora of different putters but use a centre shaft see more on comp days.

Can putt quite well with most but find center shaft putters so simple to use. Everything feels really square.

Even though the see more looks like a piece of scaffolding painted black. It works.

Ye - I switched about 5 months ago. They seem to make a lot more sense in my mind. The shaft going straight into the ball from a visual standpoint and the shaft being completely straight has helped me massively in alignment. Additionally my impact has improved and hitting the “sweetspot” of the putter.
I improved pretty much immediately too which was pleasing.

Thanks for the replies. Ye definitely seems a good idea to give one a go anyway.

I see it comes fitted with either a standard grip or a Superstroke Slim 3.0 so will also need to try both and see what suits better.

It's the last time I buy a putter without trying first lol

I always thought I had a Straight Back Straight Through stroke but a Ping putter fitting showed I actually putted with a slight arc. I do keep coming back to my centre shafted putter though (see ugly putters thread)

Get one of those SeeMore putters that Zach Johnson uses, I had one for a while they are quality. Mine got nicked though and I for some reason didn't order a new one.

One of the guys has one of these with a red dot behind the shaft. I've tried it but I don't like the centre shaft and it's put me off trying any others. Happy with the ones I have (not always at the same time!)
