celtic v rangers

Thought about a bet on a Celtic win but decided against, have a funny feeling today might end up a draw. As a Dons fan rather we keep the gap between 2nd/3rd as wide as possible so just for today - mon the Hoops!;)

Rangers have started well , but i'm not getting my hopes up.
edit , just as i thought :(

Rangers look much more solid, more organised, more motivated and the tactics look perfect to try and stop Celtic playing.

But that only works as long as they keep it 0-0.

Will be interesting to see how the 2nd half kicks off.

Rangers fans subject to kettling - my information from a source close to the game (well a Celtic supporter who was there) tells me that said Rangers supporters were a Chelsea crew.

Funny thing I noticed when they showed Rangers goal this morning, was the ball girl' s reaction. As the Rangers players celebrated in the net, which she was sat behind, was the pleasant mouthful she gave them

Yeah, I saw that too. It did make me chuckle.

My die-hard Celtic buddy was telling me last night of all the very threatening aggro he and his mates faced yesterday, and he reckons that the Rangers/Celtic - Prod/Tim angst is going to be with Scottish football and Scotland as a whole for a long time. Depressing,

It's not exactly new, it's been around for my entire lifetime in the west of Scotland. If anything, it's not as bad now as it was when I was growing up IMO.

But sadly there are still pockets of dim wits that persist of both sides of the divide.

Oh I know. I was hoping it was gradually dying out - and it is most definitely not as bad as it was. But his view was that it would be forever with us - which was depressing.

What does that mean?
Sectarianism isn't going to go away overnight in Scotland, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be, maybe not even in our lifetime but it's definitely not as bad as it was 15 years ago. Both sides are as bad as each other no matter what anybody's mate tells them.

There is a glimmer of hope , the majority of my friends and golfing buddies are Celtic supporters. I do have a few fellow Rangers fans as friends .
But then there is my 2 miss guided mates, one's a Killie fan lol, the other a deluded St Johnstone fan.
I forgive them , for they know not what they do, but one knows where to stand
