CCTV captures Banksy dressed as workman

Really? If you have ever seen stencil graffiti chances are slim it is a Banksy but you can be guaranteed the person who put it there has heard of him.

It was 2005 I saw his exhibition in London. It was a collection of classic masterpieces redone with twists. Things like Van Gogh Sunflowers but they were dead or Monet's The Water-Lily Pond with traffic cones and shopping trolleys thrown in the water. 100's of rats in the exhibition space wandering around. Had to watch your step all the time.

The Banksy book, "Wall & Piece" is very interesting, the guy has done some amazing things. The piece on the wall separating Palestine from Israel is fantastic

He can pop round and do a bit of painting at my place, real art with humour, better than most of the trash I saw at the Tate Modern!

I think once the person who actually owns the wall and doorway hears about this, they'll want to claim it for themselves due to its value.

I like that piece, well drawn, looks good and social commentary as well.

Question is why didn't he donate it to the club if that was his intention nailing it to their door, as it looks like they'll be vultures claiming it from all corners now. Plus the boys club guy is basically saying finders keepers which we all know isn't legal.

This will unfortunately escalate IMO and could have been avoided.

Thought the whole point of 'street art' was that no one owned it...

That may well be the point, but with some of Banksy's pieces fetching very large amounts of money, unfortunately there will be those in society who see the pieces as free cash, if the piece can be removed and then sold.

Apparently this is the infamous legend.

Big fan of his work. Much more than just graffiti.

Spraying Vambo rools! on a wall is graffiti (then again maybe it's not  ).
