Just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice.

With the 'Summer' weather being a bit on the wet side this year, I have noticed that no matter how much I try and dry my irons I can't seem to get all the water/moisture/blades of grass/grit out from behind the cavity and am beginning to notice rusting beginning to appear.

Any suggestions welcome

I clean as normal then dip in clean water then get the hair dryer on it!!! Low heat or just cold and blow remaining water and detergent away. Works a treat, I noticed rust on the face then I found this works best

I have irons that trap stuff in the cavity (Callaway X-18s).

I was them well after a round, dry them as best I can and then keep them somewhere warm for a day or two without anything covering the heads so they can air dry for the last bit.

Had them 3-4 years now and no rust so it works well for me.

I try to keep my irons dry but long-term it's tough with hidden areas that aren't easily reached. My Callaways have a bit of surface rust in the undercut channel/cavity bit, and the only way to get to it would be time-consuming, so I don't worry. If they get really wet, I'll leave them indoors so the grips and heads get drier quicker.
