Not having much luck looking for 2nd hand clubs as a second set as would likely need reshaft.

Had a look in AG today and they had a set of Cleveland CG7's up for £229.

So was wondering what other sets are out there up to a max of say £300.

Ideally 4-PW (or 9 and could add another wedge depending on lofts).

Reg SS shafts, weight range 85-95.

Would love forged but suspect out of the price range.

Ideas ?

Thanks

How about some titleist 695CB?

Not a true cavity back but a pretty awesome club and forged!! Had a set for about 2 years and they are good.

They have a really nice sweet spot and are forgiving!!

I bought a set of almost new Mizuno MX 23s for £80. They're almost identical to later models and are the easiest clubs to hit I've ever had. Buying new is a mug's game, the latest model is rarely much better than the previous ones.

I've a set of 4 to p/w 710 AP's with Project X 5.5 shafts, mud size grips and they are forged and not a million miles away

They had an ex display set of jpx 825 pros there for £329.
Would have pushed the button but for the shafts

Saw some TM 300 Forgeds go for £35 the other day, so some definite bargains to be had if you aren't OCD with condition.

MX23s still one of the very best balances between feel and forgiveness!

The Maxfli Revolution Black Dots that Brendy was hawking a while ago are severely under-rated too!

I have a set of cg7s 4 - pw that have recemtly been retired due to the introduction of even older (and more cb) ping g5s.

They have the regular 'uniflex' cleveland shafts (whatever that means) except for the pw (I think) which I had reshafted with a dynamic gold after an incident.

They have mid sized grips on (lambkin). I live in Herts, so if you're over that way you could have collect them for £75. If you want me to post them, about £12.50 extra.

why not look at Benross, i use Hot Speed 2 irons with grahite shafts, but have a back up set of Benross quad speed rip in black these are great clubs with DG dynalite steel shafts and are a bargain on ebay, i bought mine for £75 new!

I have tried/played Titleist, Ping, Callaway and Taylormade irons over the past couple of years but really rate these, definately worth a try and as the new model is being launched next month there should be some bargains around.

Any other Benross supporters?
