We have pestered recently with a cat or cats using our front lawn as a toilet. Strangely they don't bother with the back garden.

Does anyone know of the best way to keep them from doing this ??  Humane answers only please, but anything less than legal can be sent by pm

There are ultrasonic and water spraying deterrents available, but these are normally for gardens - and you stated 'lawn'.

Easiest way is to get your own cat - and neuter it!

Check with the Vet surgery there is a spray you can get to keep them away .. theres a 12 guage approach also that effective

just kidding , im a cat fan so wouldnt condone that

Clear round plastic 2ltr bottles [lemonade etc] filled with water and left lying around in the beds/shrubs seems to work very well.
About 3 for a normal front garden.

Please do not ask for an explanation as a dinae ken. Mirror/reflection maybe.

I bet they do - just not while you are around/awake!

No more cat poo in the garden so me thinks it has worked.

That actually really bugs me about cats, dog owners these days clear up after their animal, cats just do it where they want..annoys me.

You could just tarmac the front, more space for cars, no maintenance of having to mow anymore and no cat mess, everyone's a winner.

Old CD's are meant to do the trick, ABBA and the like .
Just kidding, you don't play them. Throw them on the ground or dangle from a string. It is supposed to be the same as the water bottle thing.
Have reports of both these not working though, think it might depend on the cats in question. Worth a try though.
