Hi all
Realise time is marching on and I have doen chuff all about a draw for the Castle Stuart event so can I...
A) ask everyone to put their handicap on the spreadsheet Colin set up http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0As0T4KcuszKAdEVYM1Q0RGJja09fQk9oZlBOcnA0NEE&hl=en
Please do that it next to your name as per the ones I have just done for the GM boys

B indicate if you need an early of late tee time in new column at the end row and if you are DESPERATE/NEED to play with anyone else

C) get suggestions via replies here on whether we should do the draw in vague handicap order or mix it up a bit more?
Thanks

Can you also all please put your home address on the spreadsheet so I can come and burgle your houses while your all golfing for the weekend :D

Can I just state that the notes on the spreadsheet were not added by me but some Southern git :D, however I was quite amused by his wit so will leave it as it is.

BTW Rob, don't ever put a statement on about holding ones drink if you can't do likewise.

I WILL HAVE MY CAMERA :D ;)

Even the handicaps out as 4 high handicappers together will have no chance in getting round afore (even getting into the local lingo) it gets darks....

Even though I'm not part of the trip, the comment above is a tad harsh. The slower guys at our club tend to be mainly low handicappers (1 to 5), who endlessly practice their drives and iron shot, are forever checking their stance/alignment, who look at putts from every conceivable angle..etc. Although the high handicappers take more shots, they are generally quick at taking them.

Sorry but I wasn't coming from that angle in taking a long time over shots, it was the fact that 'high tariff' golf courses, which Castle Stuart is one, tend to test the higher handicap golfers to and beyond the limits of their skill....lower handicap golfers playing with them can 'help' them round...

As near to 12 as possible then please and Algar and I are traveling and sleeping together the night before in Aviemore!!! ;).

Think Stevek1969 is joining us however he can decide what hes doing, hes a big boy and capable of making decisions all on his own now. :D Especially since hes gone to Ping.

Sounds good to me Crawford ,CMON THE PINGS. :D

I like the idea of mixing handicaps a la Goswick more than all the high cappers at the back as the Belfry. It encourages me to 'try' to play to a higher standard. But I can see the disadvantage to the very low 'cappers, they really don't want to be looking for balls on every hole.

As close to 1200 as possible please Mike, however its not a do or die situation and if people need to play early due to flights/ travel arrangements then I will fall down the pecking order to accommodate them.

I will however be heading home after, dumping a bag of dirty washing, give the kids a quick kiss, (I assume they will be asleep in their beds by the time I get home)off to bed, sleep, up early and away to Letham Grange on the Sunday. Dont you love an understanding wife!

Might even buy here some flowers!

I agree Steve, we did that at Goswick as I thought it only fair to mix it up,golf has a stuffy enough reputation without creating a divide amongst the guys attending!
