Afternoon all,

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a good cart bag. It was my birthday recently and I have some cash left over.

Im leaning towards the titleist RC-10 based on looks but I'm not sure how well made it is. I'd prefer one with a 14 club divider.
Any suggestions?

Titleist bags. Hmm. I have one, RC08 or 09 cart bag, can't remember which, but they don't seem to change much.
Where do I start.

I reviewed it ages ago, but can't find it.

Brief summary,

Bad points:
Not water proof. At all. In the slightest.
Pockets not big enough or the right shape.
Stupid ball pocket.
No big grap handle to pick it up with.
Doesn't key to trolley so rotates.
No full length dividers
Internal umbrella pocket not lined so wet brolley makes clubs wet.
External brolley holder in stupid inaccessible place when bag on trolley.
Valuables pocket clearly labelled so thieves know where to look.

Good:
Has good metal glove rail to clip GPS to.
Looks great in blue and white.
Matches most of my kit.

So no, Titleist bags are not great.

If I was buying now, I would go for the Powakaddy one that Madandra has just bought. In tarty white.

I was going towards the titleit one as everything else is titleist but when I went to get it the man in the shop was saying you were paying for the name and not much else, ended up going with the powakaddy III? bag (plasaticy oops leather one) good bag and it was cheaper.

I got a good wilson one 09 model from my local world of golf driving range,

Leather look
14 club seperator
more pockets than i could ever use (all seem waterproof)
massive strap should you need to carry to and from car, very very good bag

RRP was £99.00 but they had the 2010 stock due and i paid £50 quid for it. BARGIN!

Really can't speak highly enough of my Ogio Kingpin. Rock solid on a trolley. Lots of pockets and plenty of space in the pockets too. Really clever design.

They were 25% off at American Golf the other week as well, so a bit of a bargain to be had there.

There's a longer review in the review section (surprisingly!) on here. :)

Yip, just got that very titlist bag with a voucher and it's fine. Plenty space for each club and it sits nice on my PK without rotating.

If you have a Powakaddy then I'd get the bag to match as they slot in the base and cannot twist. They offer a range of goos bags with IMO too many pointless pockets inside other pockets etc but still do the job and are well made.

If not then I'd go for any waterproof (ie plastic finish) bag that ticks your other boxes (14 way dividers etc) as it's pretty pointless buying a big bag to stow away loads of stuff if it all gets wet in the rain.

Had to adapt my powakaddy to stop my Titelist bag from shifting round, real pain.

Don't see the problem with advertising the valuables pocket. If anything is in there it's because I'm actually playing so am stood next or pretty close to the thing.

I've vowed never to get another cart bag, they just strike me as a bit half arsed no mans land between carry bags and tour bags. I'm just going to get a huge tour bag big enough to fit a family of four in the pockets.

The problem with tour bags is that when on a trolley, half the pockets are underneath.

I think if you get a powakaddy trolley, and a powakaddy bag, they lock together so they don't rotate.

The valuables thing is more because I often leave my bag outside the club house on the patio before playing, so someone could nick my car keys and or phone / wallet. Yep, I know I should take them with me, but I forget.

My powakaddy is an old stlyee steam driven classic legend, no such fancy lock in thingys.

However it will win in a 30mph head on collision with a Volvo estate!!

Anyone with the Titleist cart bags notice that the white cloth bits go all brown?? Or is there just acid rain in the Cotswolds??

Thanks for the responses. I have a PK Twinline, so I'm guessing the PK bag will sit well on it.

Gutted about the negative comments on the titleist as I really thought it was the best looking bag I'd seen. Gonna try and go and have a look at them this weekend and see if anything jumps out at me. I didn't want to buy one for it to go tits up in a few weeks

I have a twinline trolley with the RC10 bag and have had no problems at all with it rotating.

The only downside is there is no full length dividers and no proper handle to get hold of.The rubber divider system is great though,it should last alot longer than cloth. The umbrella is good, its basically a shute so no strapping up the brolly.

If you can handle the occasional snagged club i would recommend the RC10 bag
