cart bag too short for powakaddy! !

So I've just bought a new Taylor Made cart bag. It's a beautiful thing, however it's too short for my powakaddy.
When I say too short I mean the top brace/bracket is too high up the trolley or alternatively the bag is too short.
I played today and had to fold a couple of cards up, slot them into the groove at the bottom to bump the bag up a little bit. Obviously once the cards get flattened out it lowers down again. Even with the cards it barely grips.
Anyone else had this?
I'm thinking I unscrew the top bracket, drill a new hole and lower it down.
Any suggestions?

Be careful if drilling holes in the shaft as there might be wires inside, how about a small block of wood fixed to the base .

Ah good point. Appreciate that. I put around 5 cards underneath and it still barely gripped. This also lost the grip from the bottom groove. Also lost the receipt for the bag!

I'd drop the top bracket down, the wiring should come up the rear A frame, you can probably see it's entry point from the battery feed.

Doubt there is any in the spine of the trolley, anyway take the bracket bolt out and have a prod about just to be sure.

Yeh I will have go at that I think. Strange that my bag seems smaller. My clubs don't seem to poke out anymore than my old bag!!

Good idea - I've heard they have a few inches lying around and they should be able to send you a couple.....

Or your TM bag is a fake.....

I did actually buy it off ebay!!
Came in tm box with tags etc and my mate has same one from American golf and apart from colour they look identical!! That's got me thinking though!!

If you bought it off eBay then defo don't tell TM you did otherwise you'll have no chance of getting your money back.....or a brand new M2 as compensation.....

Update
Just drilled a new hole an inch lower down. Works perfectly bag wise.
doesn't to allow the top bracket to roll side to side as much too so it may not go round in circles anymore hopefully.
