What's your bag?

I used to be a trolley guy, but found it too much of a pain traipsing round greens, when you could be walking on, marking and walking to the tee-box side of the green to dump your bag.

Also found that a trolley was worse for my back than a bag, especially now with double strappers.

Great minds. I was going to ask this one, after I've had it secretly revealed that at least one senior forum member is a 'lecky trolley guy.

And after all the negative waves we get to read about them.

Shouldn't be allowed ( Nooooo, don't start all that stuff off again !! )

Oh, I'm a carry bag dood. Cheap and cheerful.

I carry now but considering an electric, don't really understand why people have a problem with them. I go the gym to lift weights twice a week, don't see the point of doing it when I'm golfing

There is a stupid attitude to electric trolleys in my experience, as in 'Im much harder than yow cos I carry' etc.

I decided to get a Pawakaddy as my left knee isnt good, and carrying wasnt doing it any favours at all. Pulling a Trolley too also felt hard work, and much twisting etc etc.
So having got the PK, I came in for the usual piss-taking, but strangely enough, those same peeps who have now used a PK occasionally themselves, actually admit to just how much different they feel during & after a round when they do.

The game is hard enough, so carrying or pulling a trolley must have a detrimental effect on your game, whether you realise it or not.
Accepting it is another matter.

If Pro's have caddies to carry their Bags, I need no further encouragement to have a PK wheel mine along effortlessly.

I tried using a leccy trolley for a few months and didnt like it, having to stick to given routes and not allowed near greens etc. I also strangley felt like on of the red arrows dandering in formation down the fairway so it had to go. I prefer to carry in the (maybe false) belief that Im giving my body more activity and helping strengthen myself up a shade more over time.

Powered trolley end of.

Save your energy for where it's needed - hitting golf shots.
Free arms to stretch as you go, carry extra bottles of water, put your brolley in the mount bracket for rainy days, put your skycaddie on it so it's easily used etc etc.

Have carried and pulled in the past but you can't beat leccy trolleys imo.

i both carry and use a electric trolley.
i usally carry on the evenings and use the trolley at weekends.
or what ever i feel like at the time.

I use an electric trolley and not ashamed to admit it, For the last couple of years my knees have been giving me a bit of bother and im only 25. the way I look at it is anything to help. I do carry occasionly aswell though

I carry, but am very much heading towards the Electric Trolley option.

I cant figure out which one to get as I hear good things about Go-Kart, MotoCaddy, PowerKaddy etc etc. I'll spend some time on it it soon and make a decision.

I don't have a long enough lead for an electric trolley. :(

Seriously though, if I only played on Links or flat courses, I would either carry or use a pull trolly. Because the hilly nature of the courses I am a member of I use an electric trolly, as do the majority of members.

My back isnt the best and im only 34 but i carry in the winter and use a trolley in the summer... big problem i see with carrying is the posture of most players.brings me back to my school days with the fully laiden school bag... they walked humped over... it'll be interesting to see these guys in a few years if they keep at that....plus another thing i cant stand is some people that use them keep walking behind shots all that can be heard is the clattering of club heads have they ever heard of covers....

I'm considering an electric trolley after recent blow outs on the last few holes in competitive rounds which may have been down to fatigue although ironically I carried for 4 rounds on Friday and only felt it from 14 in on the last round.

I like the freedom of carrying, but do find it a pain (not literally) if the weather forecast is iffy having to carry waterproofs. brolly towels etc (competitive rounds only !). I'm looking at a Go Kart with a snazzy TM bag to go on it. They look good (HTL's was pretty cool at Leatherhead on Sunday) and their customer service is the biggest draw in case I have any problems. Trouble is I'm also looking at FJ 20th anniversary shoes, TM TP irons, new golf trousers, society days out, next years fees. So much choice!!!
