The modern trend for car ports vs garages means the traditional secure storage space is now mostly lost.

In our area many are closing off the open end with a door of some sort. I really don’t like this option so looking at alternatives.

My car port is not huge and already has a car in it and the bins and cycle loops on the wall.

My shed, despite being big is already filling up. So to supplement it and give me a shaded secure place for things I am looking at this:

Looks good for storing golf stuff right next to the car plus other things.

Any thoughts?

It’s going to be sheltered so won’t heat up in the sun and of course needs to be secure. It’s also not too deep so taking up valuable space in the carport.

Will report back once it’s in, planning to do my own hooks etc inside though.

Can you not get another shed?

I should have bought a 12x10 instead of an 10x8.

In reality the shed is perfect sized for the garden. Any bigger would have looked odd.

The carport has a space perfect for this store and I’m wondering before I pull the trigger if anyone else has any experience of these types of stores and kitting them out with hooks and shelves.

I did look at a shorter deeper alternative but I felt it came out too far into the middle of the carport, a nice “locker” against the wall seemed to appear tolook nicer in the space.

Just show it to your insurance company and ask them, if your clubs were nicked from this correctly installed locked unit, would they pay out?

Their Y/N answer will tell you whether its suitable or not

We have one of their cycle storage sheds and feel it more than serves its purpose...
Like any other 'shed' someone with full intent could get it opened but they'd have to make some considerable noise in doing so...
Think they'd just seek out something easier to get their cash converter 'stuff' from...

You might want to consider adding some additional ventilation...

I have one of the Asgard storage containers at work, came flat pack and took about an hour to put together. Went together very well, no external screws are shown and when together it's very sturdy. The lock is a very good one and overall looks very good.
