Car tax question

how do i find out if a car has a current road tax on it now the old disc in the window has gone.
reason for asking is that a van has been parked opposite my house for near six months now and has never been moved .it is on the road so even if it is sorn it shouldnt be parked on the road .im sure the owner hasnt sorn it or kept the tax current on the van so im looking to get it shifted as it is a bloody eyesore and makes getting out of my drive a pain as any car wishing to pass the van would have to be on my side of the road to get by.
any help out there in internet land?

Put the reg plate into the dvla website and it should tell thee.

You can report it online. I've had great pleasure in doing quite a few that have been dumped......or the owners trying to get away with it.
