Car Insurance Claim question

Recently someone brushed against my car. Initially, she wanted to go settle it privately, but after seeing the quote from the paint shop she decided to go via her insurance. So she has contacted her insurers and admitted her fault (very difficult to avoid blame if you hit a properly parked car).

Question is
1) As she has gone to her insureres do I need to go via my insureres or do I wait for them to contact me? Is there any benefit either way

It's not your liability so you would not make a claim to your insurer. You may want to notify your insurer of what has happened but her insurer will notify your insurer anyhow.

Someone reversed into wor lasses car while it was parked, no one in her car, no one hurt but we still get the claim companies calling us about our accident even though it's nearly two years ago.
