Car crash. It just happened so quickly!

Not a good day.
Driving to work, minding my own business, along the left lane looking at a green traffic light. Cars on my right slowing down to turn right, I carry on past them ........................ BANG!
From my right, a car coming in the opposite direction, obviously doesn't see me, turns right straight accross my bow.
It's there, a silver Fiesta, with two faces looking at me in horror.
WALLOP!
I couldn't believe the noise as their car performed a 180º spin in front of me.
They claim I ran a red light .............. I didn't.
Fortunately the guy behind me stopped and confirmed the light was still green as he went through, as did the two cars behind him!
Three young college kids, all unhurt, and one destroyed Fiesta.
My car will be written off because it's 16 years old, despite appearing relatively unscathed.
If I'd been on a motorbike I wouldn't be posting this!
It just goes to show, a split seconds' loss of concentration and anything can happen, it really does happen very, very quickly.
This was 8.45am this morning and only now is my ankle and hip starting to feel rather sore ..................... and I'm off on holiday on Saturday!

Glad you are ok. Cars can be repaired or replaced. Might be worth getting ankle and hip checked

Car crashes are nearly always unexpected and happen very quickly, unless you have a really high speed one (as in motor racing or rallying), when everything seems to happen in slow motion! oo:

day after i fitted mine some twonk overshot a main roundabout in front of me in his merc,he was on his phone.he started to give me a load of abuse so i pointed at him and done a movie sign,he looked at my windscreen more closey dropped his phone and roared off.
even this morning had some berk tailgating me on a junction then over took me,he made a few pedestrians jump out the way.
they drive amongst us so be aware.

Don't own one, just weird i was trawling amazon daily deals and saw this and this thread! Decent reviews. My dad has a cheap one from amazon and its perfectly good. You can spend big bucks if you want all the bells and whistles.

If they were coming in the opposite direction, how on earth could they claim you had gone through a red light? They couldn't have seen yours.
